Morocco cuts its relations with European Union because of Western Sahara
The Moroccan government will suspend its contact with the European Union’s institutions, in response to the European Court as it banned free trade agreement.
Morocco’s head of government Abelilah Ibn Kirane informed the European Union’s Ambassador in Rabat about this position.
He Thursday said he met the Ambassador upon request of Morocco’s King Mohamed the Sixth.
“Morocco will have to cut its contact with the European Union until it explains reasons why it did not cooperate with us as requested,” he added.
He also said the European Court arrested the agriculture and sea fishing agreement with Morocco following a lawsuit filed by the Polisario Front. The latter said Morocco stole products from occupied Sahrawi lands.
