Statements of Msila Governor, Mohamed Bousmaha, sparked anger and controversy among the citizens because of the phrase “I don’t care if someone wants to commit suicide” (talking about citizens who protest).

A MP at the National People’s Council, Hassane Orabi, called upon the Interior Minister, Noureddine Badaoui, to interrogate Msila governor about the content of the video that condemned him by sound and image, and why not develop a body to monitor the performance and the statements of the governors that raise a monthly report on the work of each province to the services of the presidency, the government and the Interior Ministry.

Oribi sent a letter tothe Interior Minister, saying: “I’m surprised of the statements of the new governor of Msila, Mohamed Bousmaha, who claimed in one of his field movements, and precisely in one of the municipalities of Mekra Department, threatening in front of a large gathering of citizens, everyone who would object the completion of state structures and facilities.”

Oribi lifted a number of questions, such as the lack of the duty of the reservation that is imposed on the State frames, and not to release irresponsible statements that can be enough to spark anger among people, and the cause of the governors refusal to receive citizens, as some of them even do not recognize the days of the reception originally, which are Monday and Wednesday, without talking of course about the heads of departments?

Accordingly parliament considers that the various state services are fully responsible in case of silence on what he called the induction of Msila governor to commit suicide and non-interference to interrogate him about his dangerous statements, and all that it brought from reactions.

Justice and Development Front Party, considered, through its MP Oribi, that the statements of a man who was appointed by the president of the republic is a “conclusive evidence that there is a bad method of appointing governors in Algeria, that is not subject to the criteria for the selection of officials, but the governors’ only concern is incitement and closing the doors of dialogue.”
