Mr. Goudjil: “The descendants of the colonialists in France are attacking Algeria”

Those who are attacking Algeria today in France are the descendants of the colonialists who practiced a scorched earth policy from March 19 to July 2, 1962, asserted Monday in Algiers, Mr. Goudjil..

During a lecture at the Faculty of Law of the University of Algiers 1, on the occasion of the celebrations marking the anniversary of the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) and the nationalization of hydrocarbons, in the presence of members of the government staff, representatives of the revolutionary family and members of parliament, Mr Salah Goudjil  underscored that those who are attacking Algeria today in France are descendants of the colonialists who practiced the scorched earth policy from March 19 to July 2, 1962 and continue the same approach today.

“The promoters of neo-colonialism who are descendants of the colonialists are standing against the French people while they think they are defending them,” he added.

He also touched on the French president’s alliance with the Moroccan Makhzen, noting that the Makhzen’s colonization of Western Sahara repeats France’s colonization of Algeria, and that Algeria differentiates between the Moroccan people and the Moroccan Makhzen regime, just as it previously differentiated between colonialism and the French people.

He pointed out that France’s recognition of the Moroccan proposal on Western Sahara puts it under a historical responsibility as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, which recognizes that the territory is under occupation and must be treated as a decolonization issue.

In the same context, the Speaker of the Council of the Nation recalled the bloody brutality of the colonialists and their deception, to which he was an eyewitness, as the colonialists armed European prisoners of war to kill Algerians after they came out in the May 08, 1945 demonstrations, which was a declaration of the French colonialism’s continuation of the war of extermination.

On the other hand, Mr. Goudjil  emphasized that Algeria is doing well thanks to the policy of President of the Republic Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, after he extended his hand to everyone, similar to the November 1 manifesto that united all Algerians for the good of Algeria, noting that the sincerity of the analogy is confirmed by the choice of November 1 to ratify a constitution by the people.

The success achieved by Algerian diplomacy at the headquarters of the African Union confirms to skeptics that Algeria is Africa and Africa is Algeria, recalling the first formation of the national movement in the 1920s, when its pioneers adopted the name of the North African Star.

He also recalled Algeria’s achievements, which are multiplying in all fields thanks to its wise leadership, calling on young people to assume their responsibility towards the history of their country and to be aware of their responsibilities in Algeria’s present and future.

In his speech, the Speaker of the Council of the Nation signed the golden register of the Faculty of Law (University of Algiers 1), where he stressed that the President of the Republic has “given due attention to the issue of national memory, the fortification of the country, its institutions and its economy, and the inclusion in the Constitution of November 1, 2020 of measures that enable the country to move on the path of democracy, judicial independence and economic diversification.”

“Independent Algeria, on the morning of independence, had no doubt that political independence, as important as it is, remains incomplete unless it is complemented by economic independence that strengthens it, supports the national structure and strengthens its pillars,” Mr. Goudjil stated.

“On the same path, the victorious Algeria is making progress when it comes to the sovereignty of Algeria and the pride of its people, a victorious Algeria that today has become a triumphant Algeria that pulls the doorsteps of pride and resounds thanks to its diplomacy and its sober foreign doctrine in continental, regional and international forums,” according to the same source.
