Algerian public works and energy ministries are expected to sign an agreement within the next few days to allow Sonatrach subsidiary Naftal establishing 10 service stations along the Esat-West Motorway, Algerian Motorway director said.

  • “The decision of giving the right of setting up service stations to Naftal is necessary and urgent. The route of Algiers to the provinces of Oran and Constantine is expected to be open for traffic in September,” Rafik Ghezzali told Echorouk.
  • An international call for tender will be launched next month to determine the companies which will win the tender.
  • “The call for tender specifications is ready and was delivered to the National Committee of Public Deals to give their opinion in their conformity with the Algerian legislation,” the director added.
  • The number of the service stations is expected to be estimated at more than 120 including maintenance and police stations.
