National Gendarmerie Opens Recruitment For Algerian Youths
The National Gendarmerie Command announced, under the slogan “The National People’s Army, Honor – Commitment and Future”, the opening of recruitment for youths wishing to join its ranks, for the category of non-commissioned officers.
The corps’ regional groups across the national territory have begun receiving recruitment files to join their ranks. Initial registrations will be exclusively via the website, and the registration and reception of files will close on December 12, 2024.
In this context, recruitment offices at the regional groups of the National Gendarmerie recorded many youths wishing to join the Gendarmerie forces.
Regarding the financial positions opened by the gendarmerie for the fiscal year 2024-2025, they relate to the category of contracted non-commissioned officers, as the conditions for joining were set by the concerned youths having Algerian nationality, good physical fitness, being single, and that the recruitment investigation has been accepted.
As for the height, it should not be less than 1.70 m, while the age of those wishing to join the gendarmerie ranks ranges between 18 at least and 22 at most on December 31 of the current year.
Concerning the educational level, the National Gendarmerie Command has stipulated that the candidate for the position of “contracted corporal” must first be among those who have a middle school graduation or who prove at least the first secondary level, with priority given to those who have obtained vocational training certificates.
For candidates wishing to join as “contracted soldiers”, it is required that they be among those who prove that they have at least an intermediate level, with priority given to those who have obtained vocational training certificates. The person concerned must attach when approaching the nearest National Gendarmerie unit, the initial file, consisting of a copy of the initial registration inquiry form via the website, birth certificate No. 12 of the person concerned, a written request, a copy of the diploma or school certificate for each case, a photo and a copy of the national identity card and residence certificate, a copy of the blood type card if the candidate does not have a biometric identity card, in addition to the birth certificates of the father and mother.
The concerned authorities explained that the training period is 6 months at the National Gendarmerie training centres in Jijel (eastern Algeria), the “Martyr Bouchikhi Abderrahman” centre in Djeneine Bourezeg in Naama (southern Algeria), the “Martyr Chafou Mohamed Bendart” training centre in Ouergla (southern Algeria) and “Martyr Karabsi Said” centre in Ain M’lila (eastern Algeria), in addition to the temporary training centre of the 26th National Gendarmerie Intervention Group in M’Sila (central Algeria).
The regional groups of the National Gendarmerie announced through all six regional commands that they are opening their doors to receive youths wishing to join their ranks, stressing that for further explanation, all those wishing to join the Gendarmerie Corps should go to the nearest National Gendarmerie unit, whether the regional division or battalion, to request the National Gendarmerie recruitment guidebook.
Opening recruitment in the National Gendarmerie will enhance the human census of the corps, which is keen to make every effort to win the bets of the current stage, especially preserving the security and stability of the country and consolidating the foundations of its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and preserving the strength and solidity of the bonds of its popular unity.
It also represents a fundamental pillar of security and stability in our country, as it contributes significantly, along with other security services, to counterterrorism and cross-border organized crime, especially with the increasing emergence of criminal networks active in the field of smuggling and trafficking in drugs and hallucinogens, weapons, human beings and the influx of illegal immigrants to Algeria, coinciding with the record rise in cyber and information crimes in recent years, in addition to playing an important role in rural and semi-urban areas, as it constitutes a link and communication with the people, which makes this weapon an extremely important and effective tool, which is relied upon greatly in the field of serving the law and the nation.
