New fiscal encouraging measures to support cars industry in Algeria

Although the government attracted many car making brands as part of partnerships, it decided to continue encouraging this industry through fiscal measures.

The draft financial act 2017 will include fiscal measures meant to encourage investment in cars assembly. This reflects the government’s endeavour to concretize a local industry and cover national demands. This would also lighten the burden on the Public Treasury by reducing cars importing bill.

The draft law proposes to extend fiscal advantages for vehicle makers. 

This comes as the government decided to rely on car making instead of importing. In this regard, new conditions were imposed to organize the work of car dealers. Operators in spare parts making or subcontracting should accomplish their task before the end of 2017. If those conditions are not respected, the government will withdraw the licence from them and stop their activity.
