New government measures to compensate all the victims of terrorism

The head of the cell in charge of the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Charter, Professor Merouane Azzi has revealed to “Echourok†that the presidential services have reconsidered their compensation program destined to the eliminated terrorists’ families and decided to allocate the relevant financial aid to all of them regardless of their monthly income.

The previous measures were limited to the families, whose monthly income was inferior to the guaranteed minimum wage, excluding thus a large number of them limiting the number of beneficiaries to 7.000 families.

The revised program will touch a larger number to reach 11 thousand families countrywide.

The same source added that thanks to the personal intervention of the Algerian president, the problem linked to the omission of the terrorists’ names in the list of the dead or missing ones has been definitely solved. The president has issued orders to include these terrorists among the victims of the national tragedy and their families to be compensated accordingly.

Professor Azzi went to say that the new measures will solve many problems raised by the families in the numerous letters of complaints sent to the president or to his institution.

M Azzi denied allegations that the terrorists who surrendered will receive compensations, saying that this category will benefit from the advantages as stipulated by the legislation.
