New Victorious Algeria Raises Ambitions

The expanded office of the heads of permanent committees, heads of parliamentary groups and the parliamentary observer at the national assembly valued, on Monday, the content of the address of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Sunday, before the two chambers of Parliament at the Palais des Nations.

It explained that this address comes from “the new and victorious Algeria raising its ambitions, goals and challenges in commitment and fulfilling its pledges.”

The Council’s statement considered that the president’s address was “a result of the dynamism that the national structure is experiencing and the sound policies set by the President of the Republic.”

It was also – the statement added – “a constitutional opportunity to recall the efforts of the state and the endeavours of the public authorities and the nation’s gains, achievements and challenges, both in whole and in part, and to discuss the country’s present and its elements of strength in shaping the political and economic reality at home and in the region in a way that guarantees its food, energy and water security and its future in the medium and long term, in addition to achieving victory and reaching the set goals, foremost of which is diversifying the economy and continuing to fight corruption and submit to the authority of justice and create wealth and jobs, and deepening the true democratic practice, starting with the imminent amendment of the municipal and state laws, followed at a later time by reviewing the laws of political parties and associations and the law containing the regional division of the country”.

The Council’s Bureau also highlighted that “this address of diagnosis and evaluation comes in a context in which the new and victorious Algeria has raised its ambitions and elevated its goals and challenges in commitment and fulfilment of pledges”, Algeria following “the path of the martyrs and mujahideen, adhering to the principles of our fathers and ancestors”.

The Council’s office also praised the national dialogue that will be launched by the President of the Republic, considering that “Algeria, under the leadership of President Tebboune, and its National People’s Army, a true and worthy descendant of the National Liberation Army, and with it all the security forces, is aware of those entities and circles that have branded themselves the leaders of freedom and their followers who are known for their arrogance towards the truth and their ignorance of the facts, and who are trying to throw false accusations and fabrications at Algeria that are rejected by analogy and invalidated by evidence and confirm that the truth is clear and evident, its features are not hidden, and that there is no salvation or escape except by uniting to repel the danger that is engulfing the country, at a time when some are experiencing a historical earthquake and an unprecedented state of eruption.”

On this occasion, the National Assembly Bureau urged “the Algerian people as a whole to prioritize the country’s interests over any other interest, to consolidate its structure and strengthen its ties, and to rise to support each other, and not to hesitate in what unites and brings together its dispersed,” expressing its “absolute certainty” that the Algerian people “have pride and do not sell their religion for a morsel or their conscience for a vile life.”

On the other hand, the Council’s office appreciated “the renewed keenness of the President of the Republic to preserve the file of the collective memory of the nation and the place it occupies in the conscience and not to forget it or diminish its status, and not to forgive or tolerate colonial France and anyone who tries to erase and obliterate this file.”

It also praised the “personal keenness of the President of the Republic to preserve the social character of the state and the independence of the political and economic decision of the new victorious Algeria,” considering them among the “factors that enhance the causes of well-being and a happy life and a reason to strengthen the means of pride, immunity and dignity of the nation,” stressing that these are “all matters that make the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a source of sufficient confidence that further consolidates that sacred bond and strong connection whose ropes cannot be severed or broken between the President and the people.”
