Nine terrorists get prison sentences east of Algiers

Criminal court of Boumerdes, east of Algiers, sentenced four terrorists, “A.Mohamed”, “D.Ahmed”, “A.Sofiane” and “D.Mohamed”, on the run to 20 years in absentia on charges of joining a terrorist group and participating in criminal acts, as well as placing explosives in public places to raise terrorize citizens.  

• Court also sentenced five accused, “Z.Mahfoud”, “J.Hamid”, “CH.Omar”, “CH.Sidali” and “K.Omar”, to 18 months prison on charges of not reporting on an armed terrorist group.

• Facts of the case, according to the court’s referral, back to 2009 when the security services of Bordj Mnael arrested the four accused following information about providing terrorists with food and ammunition.
