Noureddine Bedoui: “We'll Confront Attempts To Disturb Algeria Security”

Interior and Local Communities Minister, Noureddine Bedoui, expressed on Sunday evening, his solidarity with the cops after an attempted terrorist attack against police headquarters of Constantine’s Bab El Qantra 13th urban security.

Bedoui asserted, in the Algerian TV program “Hiwar Al Saa” (Time Dialogue), that “All the security services are willing and ready to respond to all attempts to disturb the security and stability, especially in the current circumstances of the country”.

“This attack confirms that we are targeted as Algerians by terrorist groups which primary aim is returning back to the black decade”.

“Various security institutions are standing day and night to defend our nation, and we should show caution to repel all attempts that aim to destabilize the country, and in particular since we are going to prepare the electoral process that is scheduled for May, 4”.

Previously, security services foiled, on Sunday evening, a terrorist attack that targeted Constantine’s 13th urban security (eastern Algerian).

APS quoted the General Directorate for National Security as saying that “A cop was present in front of the police headquarters, that is located under the building which home to about ten families, and he responded vigorously and valiantly after several warnings, targeting the explosive belt that the terrorist wore”.

In the same context, a statement of the General Directorate for National Security, said that the “Vigilance and discernment enabled the cops to foil an attempt of a criminal, who tried to incurs into the urban security headquarters, which is located under a building that includes dozens of families, but a cop, who was assigned to guard the headquarters shot him dead detonating an explosive belt to the without causing any damage, leaving two injured cops”.

“Constantine population, eastern Algeria, expressed their gratitude for the national security forces and the heroic work of the elements of the police, and showed their pride in the courage and readiness of the police services”.

Security services opened an investigation to discover more details of the incident.
