Noxious Indian rice seized by customs in the port of Oran
Customs services of the province of Oran (western Algeria) the day before yesterday foiled an attempt to dump the local market with more than 400 tons of out-of-date rice coming from India in seven containers.

The discovery was the result of routine checking operation carried out by these services on a number of containers containing various food stuffs. It should be noted that the customs services have already seized dozens of containers filled with rice coming from Asian countries like Pakistan and India without respecting the basic hygienic requirements.

Moreover, the same services have seized some 3 tons of medicinal herbs coming from the same country. Reliable sources revealed that the use these herbs would cause intestine cancer and hair loss. Individuals involved in the import of these products were brought before justice.

A similar operation carried out by the customs services few months ago ended up with the seizure of huge quantities of shoes and clothes brought form China that provoke skin cancer and other skin diseases.
