Official : Algerian fans lost their documents and money in South Africa

The Chargé d’affaire at the Algerian consulate in Johannesburg, South Africa has indicated that several Algerian fans have lost their papers, passports and money during their stay in Pretoria and Cape Town.

• He has asserted that an overall assessment over the organization of the Algerian fans’ stay in South Africa will be carried out right after their return of the last group of supporters on June28.
• In a declaration made to Echourok yesterday, M Chaabani has indicated that a group of Algerian fans moved to the consulate in Johannesburg to complete the required procedures in a move to get back to Algeria after losing their documents.
• He has declined to comment the allegations over the refusal of some Algerian fans to quit South Africa and come back to their country, adding that all those scheduled to travel on Thursday and Friday arrived sane and safe.
• The official has further added that the operation of managing some four thousands Algerian fans among them two thousands from Algeria is about to finish with a total success despite some problems linked to the exceptional nature of the event.
