Orders to settle policemen’s problems in Algeria
National police Chief Ali Tounsi gave written instructions to all security departments heads to deal with the preoccupations and problems of professional and social police employees.

“The security department doors are open for all employees especially the new ones on all the week’s days to present their preoccupations,” said human resources director at the national security department.
-
Speaking on pay delay, he added that about 4,600 policemen graduated last November from various security units at the same time of the budget closure. “Because of that, they have not got paid yet”.
-
He said salaries have been settled since April.
-
Earlier, many police employees told Echorouk a limited number of policemen earned one month salary.
-
For his part, the human resources director said many files were incomplete…and they contain errors in names and birth certificates.”
-
“That’s why; the public treasury refuses to pay them.”
-
He also said all the concerned employees’ departments were contacted to correct the mistakes but a “limited number of them settled their problems.”
-
“They are expected to get their salaries in May including their wages since they joined security forces.”
-
On the other hand, many policemen said they contacted their chiefs about that delay but “they refused to receive us.” Others did not want to talk about the problem fearing of “punishment measures” as they are newly recruited.
