Ould Kablia receives leaders of newly-formed political parties seeking official assent
The minister of the interior and local assemblies, Mr Dahou Ould Kablia, has received over the last two days several national personalities concerned by the presentation of requests seeking official assent for their newly-formed political parties.
- Mr Ould Kablia has started his series of encounters by receiving Mr Abdallah Djaballah who has recently announced the creation of his new party, the Front for justice and development (FJD).
- These consultations come in the framework of political reforms and represent a “first step” in the lifting of the ban on the creation of new political parties in Algeria.
- It should be noted that the law providing for the official certification of new parties will be high on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the council of ministers to be chaired by the President of the Republic Mr Abdellaziz Bouteflika.
- Informed sources told Echorouk that Mr Djaballah was scheduled to hold a press conference on Tuesday in Algiers with the aim of expounding and outlining the main objectives of his newly-formed party on the national political scene.
- The same sources further told Echorouk that the interior minister was also slated to receive other national figures including Mr Mohamed Said, the chairman of the party for freedom and justice (PLJ) and Mr Abdelmadjid Menasra, the leader of the movement for preaching and change (MPC).
