Ould Kablia  to Yacef Saadi: “you don’t know Ben M’hidi .”

Very affected by Yacef Saadi’s declarations about the martyr Larbi Ben M’hidi, the president of the association of the ancient members of the MALG,Dahou Ould Kablia ,responded by a letter addressed to Echorouk news paper where he issued historical truths an events tracing back Larbi Ben M’hidi’s revolutionary path .

Dahou Ould Kablia entiteled his response:”Dahou Ould Kablia responds to Yacef Saadi about Larbi Ben M’hidi ”he starts his letter by saying :” we have noticed the declaration made by Yacef Saadi about Larbi Ben M’hidi and I don’t really understand how could a balanced man say that Larbi Ben Mhidi never took arms and never fired .”

Ould Kablia added ,”To shed light on the real personality of Larbi Ben Mhidi ,we have to trace back all his achievements and deeds for the Algerian Revolution and by the way go back to the pre November 1st period ;just at the eve of this day Larbi Ben M’hidi directed an important attack against the foresters in the region of Hefir in Tlemcen ,that night ,he succeeded to collect firearms  and have a psychological impact on the enemy by targeting a region known for being highly populated by colonists .

Moreover, Ben M’hidi was an active member in all the movements fighting for Algeria’s independence, starting by the MTLD , the special organization OS , the 22 group ,the gathering of the 6 and as a director of important military actions from 1950 to 1954 .

 

Larbi Ben M’hidi was also the chief of Oran’s military Region and he took successfully all his missions there till Abane Ramdane asked to join him at Algiers region and that was the reason why Ben M’hidi came to Algiers to fulfill his political missions inside the FLN party at Algiers .at his return from Cairo in 1956, Ben M’hidi joined Abane Ramdane to help him in directing all the political actions of the glorious Algerian Revolution. Dahou Ould Kablia says that Ben M’hidi took firearms when he was a military leader and haven’t the need to take them or to fire when he became a political leader.
