Over 12 Provinces in Western Algeria organize a unified Friday to condemn the liberalization of selling alcoholics

Imams’ Syndicates in the west of the country, decided unanimously to organize a unified Friday in all mosques across 12 cities, to condemn the decision to liberalize the sale of alcoholics, informed sources told Echorouk.

Sources from Syndicates of Imams in Oran,  said in a statement to Echorouk, that on the occasion of Flag Day and the opening of Ibn Badis mosque next Friday in Oran, the opportunity will be seized to account for the risks of alcoholics.
Decision to liberalize the sale of alcoholics in Algeria, which was announced by the Trade Minister, Amara Ben Younes, has sparked a a large controversy against this decision, which was denounced by syndicates of imams in the west of the country.
Amara Ben Younes decision faced a lot of protests which condemn the liberalization of selling alcoholics, through a number of Algerian cities, like the protest of a group of worshipers in Djelfa, after the last Friday prayer, which condemns the decision to sell alcoholics, where they raised slogans against this decision, on the grounds that alcohol caused high crime rate, large number of crimes and adultery.
