Party leader Said Saadi ready to appear before the judge

Talking in conference yesterday at Mouloud Maameri University in Tizi Ouzou( 100 Kms east of Algiers) before students, the leader of the Rally for Culture and Democracy (RCD) party, the Doctor Said Saadi has declared being ready to give up his parliamentary immunity to confront publicly the family of the late president Houari Boumedienne, in the wake of the article released yesterday in Echourouk newspaper concerning the likely lawsuit to be filled against him.

The latest developments came in the event of the release of Said Saadi’s book in France dedicated to the revolutionary hero, Colonel Amirouche entitled “ Amirouche, a life, two deaths and a will” where he starkly accused the late president and the Colonel Boussouf of involved in the killing of the hero by the French military troops in the province of Bousaada.

The party leader has renewed his attack against the late president Houari Boumedienne , pretending having in his possession official documents confirming the involvement of Boumedienne and Boussouf in the killing of Amirouche while he was heading for Tunisia to dismantle the army on the borders and put an end to the mission of the then- Algerian intelligence services ( MALG).

Said Saadi has laid the blame on the two men in the events that prevailed in the country during the war and the post-war era indicating that Amirouche was collecting money for the Algerian students who were granted scholarships in the Tunisian universities, at the moment where the Colonel Boussouf was transferring this money to carry his activities within the intelligence services.

He also indicated that Boumedienne was characterized by his violence and incompetency accusing both the late president and Ahmed Ben Bella of falsifying the date of the Algerian Independence Day changing it from July 3 to July 5 through the hiding of the records that talks about this date.

He further indicated that Ali Kafi was not present at the “Soummam Summit” because Amirouche didn’t allow him to take part to this historical event.

Said Saadi has concluded his lecture with a clear denunciation of the idea of self- determination in Kabylia region advocated by the former party militant Ferhat M’Henni, saying that the solution is inappropriate for the region and would simply isolate it from the rest of the country.
