Passport Index 207: Algerians Can Not Enter 153 Countries Without Visas
Latest report of “Passport Index” shows that Algerians can enter 46 countries in the world without a visa out of the 199 countries that are included in the annual classification of the same website, meaning that Algerians can not enter 153 countries without obtaining the visa despite the economic transactions which links Algeria with those countries.
Global Passport Power Rank, Passport Index 2017 places Algeria in 80th rank globally among the passports of 199 countries in the world.
The annual classification of the country’s passports for the same location revealed that the Algerian citizen can visit 46 countries without the need for a visa, as Algeria ranked tenth among Arab countries in the ranking of the strongest passports, while Tunisia and Morocco ranked sixth and seventh in this classification and the UAE ranked first in the Arab world, while Singapore is ranked among the strongest passports in the world ahead of Germany, because the states’ citizens can visit 159 countries out of 199 countries without the need for a visa.
Sweden, South Korea ranked third, and Denmark, Finland, Italy, France, Spain, Norway, Japan and Britain rank 4th, and Luxembourg, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium, Austria, and Portugal rank 5th, and Malaysia, Ireland, the United States of America and Canada rank 6th globally.
For his part, the latest report of the consulting firm “Arton Capital” for the “Passport Index” which ranks the most powerful passports in the world, shows that the Algerian passport is among the worst passports of the world in terms of reputation, because it does not allow the holder to enter most of the world countries.
Those who want to travel from Algeria, according to the report, suffer the trouble of obtaining visas to 167 countries around the world, as the procedures vary from one country to another, while other countries impose strict conditions that make it possible to obtain a visa to travel and stay on their land for a period of time almost that is impossible.
