Pedro Sanchez: Algeria Will Always Find in Spain a Reliable Partner and Friend
The Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, congratulated, here on Saturday, on his behalf and on behalf of his government, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his re-election as President of the Algerian Republic, for a second term, the Algerian Presidency of the Republic said.
Sanchez wished President Tebboune “every success in his new term,” and stressed that “based on the ties of friendship and good neighbourliness, Algeria will always find a reliable partner and friend in Spain, to achieve stability and peace in the Mediterranean region.”
Abdelmadjid Tebboune is officially re-elected as the President of Algeria for a second term with 84.30%, according to the final results announced, here on Saturday, by the Constitutional Court President Omar Belhadj.
Based on preliminary figures, the electoral authority announced a victory for Abdelmadjid Tebboune last Sunday, with 94.65% of the votes cast. According to the Court, the turnout, the main issue in the election, was 46.10%, not an average of 48% as indicated by the elections authority.
