People aged 30 and over on December 31st, 2011 exempted from national service

Algerian defense ministry said the President’s decision about settling the situation towards national service is exclusively related to persons aged 30 and over by December 31st, 2011.

“A large number of people have come to national service centers to be exempted following an article published on national press on April 3^rd. Yet, they are not concerned by those measures because they touch citizens aged 30 and over by December 31^st, 2011,” said the ministry in a release posted on its website on Tuesday.

“Situation settlement of people aged 30 or over towards national service is conducted in good conditions. The process started in March 2011. Until March 30^th, 2014, a total of 101,645 benefited from the presidential measures. Of them, 2,106 are living abroad,” it added.
