Pharmacists involved in the selling of expired medicine
Gendarmerie services of the provinces of Taref, Annaba and Skikda (eastern Algeria) have a launched an investigation following complaints lodged by their colleagues which revealed that dozens of mentally ill people saw their conditions worsened after taking medicines supplied by neighboring pharmacies.

First elements of the inquiry revealed that some pharmacists were found guilty of distributing sedatives “ anzapine” barred by limitation that aggravated the patients’ health conditions.

According to “Echorouk” sources, dozens of pharmacists were accused of distributing expired medicines imported by an operator specialized in pharmaceutical products who wanted to get rid of his products by hook or by crook.
