Association of Pieds noirs and Harkis preempted the visit of the French State Secretary for War Veterans and Memory, John-Marc Todeschini, to Algeria to participate in the Seventieth Memory of May,8, 1945 massacres, through organizing a campaign to pressurize the French government to disturb the Algerian demand to apologize for colonial crimes, hoping to transform the executioner to a victim.

Pieds noirs Association raised demands to the French government, by inviting the French state to recognize in an official capacity, assume its responsibility in the human tragedy that resulted from decolonization”, in reference to the French who had properties in Algeria during the colonial era.
This association tried to jump on history, through its involvement in the justification for the massacres of May,8, 1945, through the use of some works that defend the orientations of advocates of “French Algeria”, such as the book: “Peace for Ten Years”, which was written by Francis Dossani, then offered to the former General Governor of Algeria, Jack Sostal.
It is clear from the letter and its timing, that the right-wing groups in France pressurized the French government to prevent Todeschini’s concessions during his visit to Algeria, which began here on Sunday, especially the demand for apologizing for the colonial crimes, which was lifted by Algerians, noting that the French Minister will move to Setif with the Algerian War Veterans Minister (Mujahideen), Tayeb Zitouni, to put a bouquet of flowers at the tomb of the martyr, Bouzid Chaal, who was the first victim of May,8,1945, massacres.
Pieds noirs took their justification from the content of this book, in which the author believes that those massacres contributed to the delay of the outbreak of the revolution by ten years, so they considered it an inevitable decision, in order to keep Algeria as an integral part of the colonial France.
