Portsmouth’s Hassen Yebda slams British media.

The Algeria squad and British club Portsmouth midfielder, Hassen Yebda has confirmed his presence to the “Greens” training camp due to take place in the region of Lecastelli, France as from next Sunday.

• He seized this opportunity to announce that his coach, Grant has given him the go ahead to take part to the upcoming African cup of Nations in Angola and he was free to decide to take part or not.
• Q: The British press has recently hinted to the probability of not seeing you in the next African Cup of Nations tournament because of your coach’s refusal to give the go ahead, do you confirm the news?
• A: I would simply tell them to stop writing mucks, I was frankly surprised to read these allegations in some British print and online press and I strongly deny them all.
• Q: Does it mean that Grant is not opposed to your participation to the upcoming training camp with the Algeria squad in France?
• A: Of course, my coach was comprehensive and he has never asked me neither my team mate Nadir Belhadj to boycott the Algeria squad and the African Cup.
• Q: Will you be present at Lecastelli’s training camp?
• A: I can confirm that I’ll be on time as from next Sunday and will fly alongside my team mates to Angola to take part to the African Cup of Nations tournament in Angola.
• Q: you have been chosen as the second best player of the match just behind your fellow citizen Nadir Belhadj in the fixture versus Liverpool; does it mean that you are in top form?
• A: I think I am and I feel good, I’m working on reaching the best of my form to live up to the Algeria squad’s expectations in Angola.

• A: This is an honor for me and that encourages me to do even more to satisfy him.
