President Bouteflika chairs assessment meeting with heads of various security services

The President of the Republic, Defense Minister and Supreme chief of the country's armed forces, Mr Abdellaziz Bouteflika, chaired yesterday in Algiers a broad – based meeting bringing together the heads of various security services with the aim of making an overall assessment of the unflagging struggle against the scourge of terrorism and other forms of criminality across the national territory. 

• Several important figures were in attendance including the minister of the interior and local assemblies, Dahou Ould Kablia, the minister delegate in charge of national defense, Abdelmalek Guenaizia, the Army chief of staff general Gaid Saleh, the head of the national Gendarmerie and that of the police forces respectively Major General Boustilla and Major General Hamel in addition to the managers of the security branch of the police force, the border guards and the Republican guards.

• During this encounter, the Head of state Mr Abdellaziz Bouteflika was fully informed about the steady and tangible progress made by the relevant security services in their relentless fight to stamp out the residual scourge of terrorism and other nefarious forms of criminality and banditry across the national territory.

• President Abdellaziz Bouteflika seized this opportunity to issue clear guidelines regarding the reinforcement at all levels of the struggle against terrorism until its total eradication as well as against the other forms of criminality so as to ensure the protection of the citizens and infrastructures as part of the promotion of peace, quietude , stability and development throughout Algeria.
