Presidential Elections 2014: Benflis allied with Touati and Rebbaine to prevent fraud

Competitors to the Mouradia Palace started in the conclusion of alliances on the eve of Presidential Elections, in the context of what they think it will prevent the occurrence of fraud, as managers of the election’s campaign of the candidates, Moussa Touati, Ali Fawzi Rebaine and Ali Benflis, held a meeting at the headquarters of the Directorate of Benflis election’s campaign, in order to coordinate their efforts and exchange information about the voting process.
A statement that was signed by the campaign managers for these three candidates, which a copy is available to Echorouk, explained that a coordinating teamwork included the representatives at the level of the Directorates of elections’ campaign and the National Political Committee for the election’s monitoring, and the Wilayas and municipalities’ committees as well.
“Exchange information and notifications was agreed upon at the level of the elections’ centers before, during and after the electoral process, and working on the failure of every attempt to falsify or prejudice the electoral process in the legal frameworks that govern this process and moving away from the provocations.”
“Continuation of the process of sorting and delivering a copy of the registration of the results of the voting at the level of the Elections’ Office, along with transmitting this report to the representatives of the candidates on the level of national, Wilaya and municipal structures”.
In this context, representatives of the three candidates contacted the State Minister, Interior and Justice Ministers, to give the necessary instructions in order to deliver the registers of the municipal committee by its president personally to the head of the Wilaya committee, and in the presence of a representative of a candidate, at least.”
A statement that was signed by the representatives of the three candidates, was issued after a coordination meeting, explained that the purpose of this procedure is designed to prevent the passage of this records over the course that is not guaranteed by justice, as the same source asserted that the aim is to bring transparency to the voting results at the local level.”
