Elections Boycotting Parties’ Syndicates intends to join Ali Benflis, in order to strengthen their ranks to start in the preparation for what it considers concrete steps towards the democratic peaceful transition, and considered that the boycott’s high percentage reached about 24% compared to the elections of 2009, in an evidence of the success of the campaign that it carried out.

Coordinating parties and personalities insist on boycotting the elections, considering the results of the Presidential Election are not true, and claiming that they were expected, adding the most interesting in the process is the low turnout compared to the Presidential Elections of 2009, as its members think that the expansion of the boycotters’ number is attributed to the success of the campaign that was carried out by the coordination, coinciding with the campaigns that were led by the candidates and their representatives throughout the last three weeks.
Member of the National Office for MSP, Farouk Tifour, said that the results of the elections do not concern them, because they did not participate.
“Results were inflated, and the overall assessment of the electoral process, which they have done revealed that the numbers were inflated , and that the ratio of actual participation did not exceed 20%, which indicates that the boycott campaign has achieved the desired results , because of the increased proportion of the boycotters by 24% compared to the previous presidential elections. Citizens boycott the elections due to the president’s. Extension of the polling with one hour over 590 municipalities, were long enough to manipulate the turnout and the results, as governors received orders to increase the participation rate.”
Presidential Elections Boycotting Parties considered that the failure of candidates to recruit a sufficient number of observers, had a large impact on the outcome of the process, as observers who were affiliated to the defeated candidate Ali Benflis, left the polls centers during the morning period, while control was completely absent on the rest of the candidates across many centers and offices, which is what makes the neutrality of administration the only way to avoid fraud by members of the Coordination who rely on the accession of ” Benflis” to them, as well as contacting other figures to begin the preparation of a seminar for the democratic and peaceful transition, a move that was confirmed by Djilali Soufiane, the leader of the New Generation Party, who estimated the turnout at about 25% only.
For its part, Front of Justice and Development, called upon the opposition to review their positions of the ruling power and its policies, programs and agenda of action, and to unite on the position of rejection, and to work for an agreement on the requirements of democratic transformation with proper and correct means, and constitutional and legal safeguards that must be provided to make the elections free, legal and fair, as this party estimated the participation ratio by only 20%, which is a victory for the boycotters.
