Presidential Elections: Candidates Launch Pre-Election Campaigns
The three candidates for the upcoming presidential elections, scheduled to be held on September 7, 2024, officially entered into a semi-pre-election campaign before officially marking its start in the middle of next August, by scheduling official meetings with their party members and organizing media meetings to introduce their electoral program.
In this context, the candidate of the Movement for Society and Peace, Abdelaali Hassani Cherif, will supervise a comprehensive meeting, next Saturday, that includes representatives of all the party’s bureaus in Wilayas to agree on the broad lines of the electoral campaign.
At this stage, the movement seeks to review the most important issues and axes that will be focused on and to determine the readiness of preparations for the electoral date.
The National Secretary in charge of media in the movement, Ben Hamda Abdelmouneim, told Echorouk that these movements fall within the framework of a pre-election campaign, noting that the upcoming election requires all candidates to prepare well for it to convince Algerians of the necessity of participating.
For their part, the political parties supporting the free candidate, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, continue to hold their neighbourhood meetings in the Wilayas to mobilize support for their candidate and to emphasize the importance of achieving continuity, similar to the Rally for National Democratic, which expressed its commitment to the success of the electoral campaign and the framing of its various stages.
The same applies to the National Construction Movement (el-Binaa), the Front for National Liberation (FLN), and the Front for the Future (el-Mostakbal), as they have previously confirmed their readiness to support candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the upcoming elections by preparing a special program for the electoral campaign.
On the other hand, the Front of Socialist Forces (FFS) announced the appointment of party leader Djamel Belloul as director of the electoral campaign for candidate Youcef Ouchiche. The leader of the FFS, Walid Zaanabi, told Echorouk that his official appointment and the National Directorate for the Electoral Campaign will take place next Saturday, in the presence of party leaders, national figures, and friends who support the candidate.
