Private Doctors excluded from the health ministry’s vaccination campaign

The Algerian health ministry didn’t fulfil the needs in H1N1 vaccines for the private clinics neither for the private doctors yet, which represents more than 50% of the overall working personnel of the sector, the head of the Algerian Doctors Association Mohammed Bekkat Berkani has revealed to Echourok.

  • The association along with the private doctors has urged the relevant ministry to take the appropriate measures and provide them with their quota in order to vaccine their own patients, expressing at the same time their astonishment for being counted out by the health ministry from the vaccination operation as opposed to their colleagues in the public sector, though they deal with infected people on daily basis.
  •
  • It should be noted that the private doctors outnumber their counterparts in the public sector by 50% putting the total number at 40 thousands, in addition to other medical staffs including dentists, pharmacists and nurses operating in the private clinics across the country.
