Projected deportation of Algerian prisoners from Libya by mid- June
Deportation of the Algerian prisoners now held in Libya will be carried out between 15th and 20th of next June and will coincide with the commemoration of the evacuation of the last Italian forces from Libya, informed sources said.
-
The deportation will be based on a prior agreement between the Algerian and Libyan diplomacies after signing a convention on exchanging the prisoners between the two countries.

The Algerian detainees were informed that department of Al Jadida detention in Libya, which includes the largest number of Algerian prisoners, has recently prepared all their documents waiting for the implementation of the deportation decision following the signing of the convention on exchanging the prisoners, in which the son of the Libyan leader Guaddafi Saif Al Islam developed important lines during his first visit to Algeria last week.

The son of Muammar Guaddafi was very clear with regard to the Algerian prisoners when he said, in brief statements to the media before the conclusion of his visit to Algeria, that things are promising, without giving further details. However, those short words were enough to bring hope to the Algerian prisoners who sent lot of messages and appeals to the Gueddafi’s International Foundation for the Charitable and Development Associations, headed by Saif Al Islam, in order to solve their problems and find a solution to their long sufferance.
