Prominent theologians to visit Algeria soon to preach reconciliation

Prominent Arab religious figures and theologians are set to visit Algeria in the next few days coming from different Arab countries including Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and several other countries with the aim of preaching peace and reconciliation..

  • This event comes as part of a series of activities to raise the young Algerians’ awareness and sensitize with a view to imparting the genuine Islamic principles in them, and lead them to the right path away from extremism and other destructive ideas including terrorism.
  • Among these outstanding personalities, the Egyptian theologian Echeikh Mohammed Hassen is due to pay a visit to some Algerian towns including Constantine, Oum Al Bouaki , Setif (eastern Algeria) Oran (western) and the capital city Algiers.
  • For his part, the Syrian Mohammed Rateb Anabulssi, an expert in Koran studies, will visit Algeria to take part in the proceedings of the Forum on Scientific Helplessness organized by the World Institution for Scientific Helplessness in the Koran and Sunna.
  • Other figures are set to come to Algeria namely; Cheikh Nabil Al Ouadhi, Cheikh Mohammed Al Ariffi, Cheikh Mechari Al Affessi and Cheikh Chiheb Addine Abu Zehou who accepted the invitation of some Algerian associations that tried to introduce these high profile personalities to the Algerians who used to watch them on different satellite channels, giving them, thus the opportunity to get in touch with them directly.
  • This unprecedented interest shown by these theologians to Algeria was triggered by the visit, few weeks ago, of Cheikh Ayedh Al Kerni that hit the headlines inside and outside Algeria, as he travelled across the country and met with the population. On his way back to his home country Saudi Arabia he portrayed his experience in a series of paintings showing the beauty of the Algerian scenery.
  • On the other hand, these associations are seizing this opportunity to call on the remaining terrorists to give their activities and get back to the social life.
