Public schools BEM candidates dominate private schools in Algeria

A total of 957 candidates from public schools passed the B.E.M. exams (Brevet d'enseignement moyen, or middle school examination) with 80 percent upwards in Algeria while two candidates from private schools got that score.

• The province of Batna (east of Algiers) comes on the top of the successful candidates with 80 percent upward while Adrar (south) and Tiaret (west) come the last.
• Beyedh province is ranked first for success rate with 63.10 percent followed by Tipaza with 61.31 percent.
