Raouraoua talks about Saadane and corruption
President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) Mohamed Raouraoua said the 2015 African Cup of Nations draw due to be held on April 29th in Cairo will decide the future of Algeria’s coach Vahid Hallilozich.
“After we qualified to the Brazil World Cup, we moved to the 2015 African Cup of Nations. I asked the coach to extend his contract. Yet, he wanted to think about that as he had family problems,” Raouaroua said in a TV program on Echorouk TV.
“Personally, I am not worried about this issue. I am amanager and I have a long term vision,” he added.
Speaking about the last year’s dispute between him and the Bosnian coach, Raouraoua said Hallilozidch made many controversial statements. “Yet, what made me angry was his speech against Algerian technicians. Now, I have a good relationship with him.”
The FAF’s president described Algeria’s former coach Rabah Saadane as a “respectful man.”
He talked about corruption inside the Federation and his long term project with dual-citizenship players.
He explained the reasons why young teams will not participate in the next African championships.
The program will be broadcast on Tuesday’s night.
