Saadane: “we will beat Egyptâ€
Algerian national team coach Rabah Saadane said his players must defeat the Egyptian team as part of the World Cup qualifications.
-
Algeria held hosts Rwanda to a 0-0 draw in Kigali last week.
-
Speaking about Rwanda match, Saadane told Echorouk he bears the responsibility of his choices “because something happened between the two legs and in the second step.”
-
He did not disclose further details, saying he is waiting for the next two weeks to reveal all points.
-
“I am for the Algerians’ hopes. Everyone wants to beat the Egyptian team and reach the World Cup but we have to be realistic,” he added.
-
“Our national team is in the process of training and efforts must be unified to reach our goal.”
-
The national coach said he is ready to give way to any coach because his mission is to lead the Algerian players to victory. “Whoever can give the magic words to beat the Egyptians, I am ready to listen to him.”
-
“All of us want victory over Egypt. Whoever can lead Algeria to win this match, he just comes and asks for the responsibility,” said Saadane pointing out some coaches who had criticised him.
-
According to sources at the national team, Saadane wants to exclude a number of the professional players who did not add something new to the team.
-
“Kamel Fathi Ghilas is likely to have no place among the players. Hameur Bouazza’s low performance may make his subjected to the same risk,” said the same sources.
-
Saadane is interested in the performance of three local players to call them in.
-
“Saadane is very convinced in Babouche’s skills and he is thinking about Mesouad, Achiou and Zeyay to make them playing in the match against Egypt,” according to the same sources.
