Saadane to stay with Algeria squad after World Cup
Algeria football coach Rabeh Saadane decided to stay with the squad until the end of the World Cup finals, Echorouk has learnt from an official at the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).
-
“Saadane has never said he would leave the national squad. He believes that it is necessary to continue his work he has been doing for two years,” said the same source.
-
-
The coach started thinking about the 2012 and 2013 African Cup qualifiers and he plans to work with his squad to play them. He also wants to end his career by a fourth participation in the 2014 World Cup.
-
-
Saadane’s wish to stay with the squad seems to depend on his deal with the FAF as his contract expires by the end of the World Cup in South Africa.
-
-
He will be able to negotiate about his position if the squad qualifies to the second round of the World Cup.

-
According to the same source, he is not interested in holding the position of National Technical Manager. He plans to coach an Arab squad if he is not appointed as coach once again.

Arab Emirates insist on him for their national squad in return for $70,000 per month. That makes three times what he earns in Algeria.
