Saâdani: “Bouteflika’s candidacy file contains medical certificate testifying to his good health”

The Secretary General of the FLN Party, Amar Saâdani, has affirmed that incumbent President Bouteflika’s candidacy file, submitted earlier this week to the constitutional council, contained a bona-fide medical certificate testifying to his good health.

Taking the floor during a press conference on Sunday at the FLN party headquarters in the district of Hydra in upper Algiers, Amar Saâdani, emphasized that President Bouteflika’s health file was being used by what he dubbed as “some trouble-making and wrecking quarters” with the aim of preventing him from running as a candidate in the upcoming presidential polls slated for April 17^th 2014.

 The FLN Party Secretary General also underlined that incumbent Bouteflika had the legitimate right to vie for a fourth mandate at the helm of the nation during the forthcoming elections in consistence with the constitutional provisions and the laws of the Republic.

 Amar Saâdani further indicated that President Abdellaziz Bouteflika would be present during the upcoming election campaign via the various political parties backing his candidacy.

 “The representatives of these back-up parties will crisscross the various wilayas or provinces of the country to expound in detail the balance – sheet of the President’s achievements on all fronts during popular rallies to be held in the four corners of the country”, Saâdani added.
