Saudi scholar Saad Al Brik calls on the terrorists to repent

Talking yesterday at “ Echourok Forum” the Saudi scholar Dr. Saad Eddine Al Brik staunchly denounced the criminal acts perpetrated by the terrorist organization “Salafit Group for Call and Combat” led by Abdelmalek Droudkel, targeting security forces and foreigners through suicide attacks.

• He seized this opportunity to reach out these armed groups saying” Oh brothers…get back to reason and repent of your sins” echoing the Saudi armed group’s experience before them who ended up concluding that they were doing wrong “ Your brothers in Saudi Arabia did the same before you, some have slain innocents and others killed and destructed but they regretted their deeds “, he added.

• In addition to his condemnation of these acts, he put the focus on the harmful consequences of the terrorists’ move” what did you rip out of your combat… it didn’t bring anything for the Muslims; it rather left orphans, destruction and mayhem and most importantly it tightened the noose around the Muslim community across the world “, he noted.

• The scholar has indicated that “bearing arms was among the big sins and would bring curse “ especially when it comes to slaughtering “ regardless of their nationalities”, he noted that Islam forbade the killing of  non-Muslims echoing the first terrorist acts perpetrated against foreign aides in Saudi Arabia “ we have staunchly condemned this act because our religion doesn’t tolerate slaughtering including foreigners.. soul is precious and Muslim’s blood is even more” .

• The doctor goes deeper in his argumentation saying “ Did we liberate Palestine with these arms? Did we alleviate Muslims’ sufferings in Iraq, Somalia and Afghanistan?, trying to bring discredit on the legitimacy of bearing arms.

• The scholar went on addressing these groups using friendly expressions” Oh friends come down to your homes because we need you and noticed in you positive sides”, stressing the importance to use this energy in overcoming ordeals and combat other social scourges including drug corruption and immorality.

• He praised the national reconciliation plan initiated by the president Abdelaziz Bouiteflika saying” The project initiator should be an able man and a leader, a good at heart one but able to control things”, noting that dialogue is crucial because it spares money and energy and leads towards development.
