School articles bearing the Jewish star sold in Algeria
Several kiosks and libraries in the province of Chelef (western Algeria), are selling school articles stamped with the Jewish “David star†amid a total indifference of local authorities, who allowed these practices, many experts said.

One of the parents has revealed the fact to Echorouk after buying to his son vignettes on which appeared the Jewish star on the back pushing him to forbid him to use them.

The parent went head on to the librarian in order to inform him about the incident; this one threw the articles arguing that he wasn’t aware of that and that they were brought from the eastern apart of the country where they were imported.

The Jewish star was chosen by the founder of the Zionist ideology Theodor Hertzel in 1879 as the symbol of this community.
