Algerian water minsiter Abdelmalek Sellal
Algeria’s contract with French water distribution company SEAAL expired after having been in force for five years and six months, water minister Abdelmalek Sellal said.

“It’s up to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to renew the contract while he is not totally satisfied about the Algerian French relationships,” the minister told Echorouk.

-
“That would affect the economic relationships between the tow countries as France is only interested in its personal profits,” he added.

He told a conference held in Algiers the government will take decisions meant to provide further support to national companies. “I promise to support all water-related companies and this will be generalised on other institutions.”
