Security forces to adopt tighter military operations during Ramadan
Army’s command resorted to involving teams of Special Forces (Para) permanently in the new military bases which have been deployed in many areas that noticed terrorist movements, certain sources told Echorouk.

The same sources added that the army command is gradually redeploying units of the army in the framework of broad security coverage days before the holy month Ramadan, with the lifting of the military operations after deploying potential human and material equipments in the context of carrying out “pre-emptive” strikes, and foiling terrorist plans in this month, which is often exploited by the terrorist groups, through escalating their attacks.

Observers to the security matter in Algeria confirm that the security forces lift their military operations and pursuit of terrorists, and moved from the siege operations in the main strongholds after the terrorist groups carried out another attack, to monitoring their movements outside their traditional strongholds, adopting air bombardments.

Official security sources told Echorouk, that the army command adopted an extensive security plan based on instructions by the Chief of the Algerian army’s (APN) Staff, based in conducting broad military operations in coordination between the various military regions and zones in Algeria, as well as monitoring the terrorists while trying to escape and violate the security cordon, as army troops have been deployed in the military environment through installing fixed checkpoints.

In this context, the command of the army, deployed a very large number of soldiers in the regions where terrorists try to sneak, through installing new military bases in various localities, particularly, in the forests and isolated areas used by terrorists to move from one area to another.

A high-level meeting between security officials will be held before Ramadan, to inspect the security plan, and assess the anti-terrorist operations. A detailed report will be submitted to the president Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on the outcome of the military operations, to be introduced by the Interior Minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni, during the hearings of the Ministers that the president Bouteflika has organized annually in Ramadan, as well as the report on the implementation of the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation.
