Security forces’ website infiltrated by an IT man
A judge has last week remanded in custody a 25 year old internet café owner in the region of Ain M’lila (eastern Algeria), found guilty of hacking security forces’ sites.

Several individuals, though to be linked to the case including two policemen, were called up by the judge for further investigations.

First elements of the inquiry carried out by a cyber criminality experts’ unit more than a month to the outbreak of the scandal, revealed that an unidentified source was hacking the security forces’ official site and posting intelligence on the internet.

INTERPOL has immediately reacted to the discovery of the case and informed the relevant security services to act accordingly, corroborating sources revealed.

The culprit (25) is a renowned IT man in the province of Oum Albouaki and his reputation was so big that the security forces were calling on his know-how to repair their hay wired computers. He seized this opportunity to collect classified files and post them on the internet.

A similar case was recorded in the region in less than two years, when a university student has infiltrated the security forces’ site to be busted and put in prison.
