Echorouk sources said security services have dismantled a terrorist cell in Boukadire, west of Chlef, west of Algeria, consitising of seven terrorists, three of them were arrested and the four others escaped.

• According to the same sources, a repentant terrorist told the security services that there is a terrorist cell which is planning to activate terrorist attacks and that they called him to join them again.

• The repentant terrorist said some terrorists in this cell surrendered, their ages between 35 and 40 years old.

• Information by the repentant terrorist revealed moves of the security services to combat terrorism and arrested three of them who are now detained waiting for their trial on charges of belonging to a terrorist group, while the rest of them are wanted by the same services.

• Security services refused to speak about any details, however observers said this terrorist cell is active under the banner of Droudkel’s terrorist group GSPC or AQIM, who is still betting on the western regions, particularly following the successful strikes by the armed forces which led to the elimination of the most prominent terrorists and reduced its terrorist moves in the central areas, particularly in the main strongholds in Boumerdes and Tizi Ouzou.

• It is noteworthy that the dismantling of this back-up terrorist cell represents another failure of the GSPC’s plans which aims to spread in the west of Algeria.
