Security services seize 200 kg of drugs west of Algeria

Elements of the judicial police of Maghnia security department, west of Algeria, thwarted on Tuesday an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs towards the internal localities. 

• The process came, as confirmed by well-informed sources, while elements of the urban security of Ouled Ben Damou patrolled some dark streets of the border region, where they suspected a car type Peugeot 505 at a popular district.
• The driver refused to obey the orders to stop by security men, thus a crazy hunt begun in the eastern side of the border city, and with the arrival of support all the exits had been besieged, which enabled security men to catch up with the car after being abandoned by its driver at Omar district, where they found over  200 kg  of drugs under the car’s back seats and trunk.
• Elements of the judicial police are still investigating on this case in order to arrest all the smugglers, as this quantity of drugs is the largest of the kind seized into an urban area this year in Algeria.
