Sellal: even John Kerry recognized democracy in Algeria

Independent candidate Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s electoral campaign director Abdelmalek Sellal Thursday said US Secretary of State John Kerry’s remarks about Algeria are recognition of democracy in the country.

“The US Secretary of State said Algeria is a democratic country. It is a stong country and it is in a right democratic and electoral process,” said Sellal in a popular rally in the province of Djelfa.

“This is the recognition of the biggest democratic country in the world,” he added.

Sellal presented some Bouteflika’s projects in his fourth term. “Bouteflika will work on building a respectful state.”

Speaking about the province, Sellal committed to promote Djelfa if he resumes his job in cabinet.
