Sellal: I am Chaoui and not spiteful
Abdelmalek Sellal

Algerian Prime Minister Tuesday said he is not resentful and he considers himself as Chaoui, Berber, Targui and Amazigh. “My heart has only good feelings for every Algerian,” he said in response to criticism against his remarks concerning Chaoui people.

Sellal who runs Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s electoral campaign called on Algerian businessmen to support institutional stability to improve the Algerian economy situation among emerging economies within the next five years.

He presented Bouteflika’s economic program to members of the Forum of Enterprise Chiefs.

He said Algeria needs stability to implement economic, social and political plans and build a power to protect borders.

“The State is ready to help you, support real production and diversify economy. Algeria is not ready to miss the big opportunity of developing nanotechnology and petrochemisty,” he said.

Mr Sellal does not have a clue about what he is talking about. He is not qualified to be deputy director of a small company never mind Prime Minister.
It is unbelievable that the stability of a country is dependent on electing a corrupt regime for a 4th term. What happens if Mr Bouteflika dies tomorrow? Does it mean that there will be chaos. Key positions are held by the same people for 30-50 years. How can you progress? How can you create 1 million jobs in tourism? Where are the hotels?
