Sellal: “The Opposition’s frenzied agitation clears the way for foreign meddling in Algeria’s affairs”
Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s election campaign manager, Abdelmalek Sellal held on Monday a popular rally at the multi-sports hall of the city Blida, 50 kilometers west of Algiers on the second day of the ongoing electoral campaign for the April 17 presidential polls.
Abdelmalek Sellal said on the spot that time has come for Algeria to regain its strength and called for building up a new republic to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the Algerian population as a whole.
In his speech, Mr Sellal warned the citizens against falling into what he called “the trap of despair” which imperils the dignity and sovereignty of the Algerians.
He pointed put that the current expostulations and agitation by certain discontented opposition parties and figures could pave the way for a foreign interference in Algeria’s internal affairs.
“Such an untoward contingency to be brought about by these nefarious political destabilizing moves, if they aren’t checked, could lead to a recurrence of the Tiguentourine-like attack inside Algerian territory”, Sellal warned.
Regarding the next polls, Abdelmalek Sellal further urged the electors to turn-out massively on polling day April 17th and cast their ballot in favour of candidate Abdellaziz Bouteflika whose program, he said, represents peace, stability, progress and sustainable development at all levels.
He also urged the inhabitants of the province of Blida and elsewhere to express on voting day their their firm and all-out support for candidate Abdellaziz Bouteflika arguing that he is the right and most able man to pursue the edification process and the completion of the national reconciliation in Algeria.
