Senior FBI official visits Algeria
A senior official at the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is in Algiers to discuss with officials the need for joint efforts in fighting crime.

A press release issued by the US Embassy in Algiers said FBI Deputy Director John P. Pistole, who arrived last night, will hold talks with director of the Algerian National Gendarmerie Services Department General Ahmad Abu Sutaila and Deputy Director of Police Abdulaziz Affani.
- Upon arrival, Pistole expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Algerian government for its cooperation with the United States in combating crime and terrorism, the release added.
- Algeria and the United States signed several military cooperation agreements, especially regarding combating terrorism, organized crime, and money laundering, and chasing armed groups.
