Shatha Hasoon sings “Melhim Barakat”

The young Iraqi artist Shatha Hasoon just finished filming a music video clip for her new song “Low Alf Marah” (Even a Thousand Time) with the famous Lebanese musician Melhim Barakat. This is their first project together.

 

  • According to the London daily Elaph,   Melhim said that he considers Shatha’s voice to be one of the rare, good voices. This is the first time that Melhim composed a song for a non-Lebanese artist.
  • The song “low Alf Marah” is written by the Lebanese poet Nizar Francis and distributed by Michael Fadel.
  • Filming of the video clip took place in Tripoli and Amsheet in northern Lebanon. Filming lasted for two days under director Toni Qahwaji.
  •  On the other hand, Shatha will appear with the Saudi singer Abadi Al Johar on the entertainment show “Taratata,” aired on Dubai channel.
