Shireen in court
A Cairo court has postponed the trial of the famous Egyptian singer Shireen Abed Al Wahab, since the court wanted Shireen to appear personally in court.

A lawsuit was filed against the Egyptian artist by the music production company “Alam Al Fan” for singing the song “Aineek Kadabeen” (Your Eyes Are Lying) without permission.

“Alam Al Fan” asserts they own all rights to the song.

The song was originally sung by the famous Lebanese artist Nawal Al Zoghbi, and the lyrics for the song were written and composed by Muhammad Rifa’ie.

On other grounds, Shireen appeared on the music entertainment show “Taratata,” aired on Dubai channel 19 April. Shireen was accompanied on the special episode by the Lebanese artist Zain Al Omar, Egyptian artist Ahmad Saed and the rising Moroccan artist Huda Saed.

Shireen’s appearance is the first after a long absence from the spotlight since she gave birth to her baby girl.

Shireen recently finished recoding the opening and conclusion song for the television drama series “Layali.” The song was written by Ayman Bahjat Qamar and composed by Amr Ismail. The television series “Layali” stars Zainah, Izat Abu Oof, Salah Abduallah, Yousif Al Sharif, Sawsan bader and Ahmad Safwat. The series is scheduled to be aired on television during the month of Ramadan.
