Six terrorists killed west of Algiers
The Algerian combined security forces killed, Thursday morning, six terrorists in Oued Boulben between the localities of Bougarra and Hammam Melouane in Blida, west of Algiers, security sources said.

The terrorists are “Yousef Hammou ” nicknamed “Degaul”, 41 year-old, he joined the GIA by the end of 1994 from El Djbissa in Hammam Melouane, and the second terrorist hails from Larbaà, east of Blida.

The same sources said the incident was linked to a stepped-up anti-terrorist activity conducted by the security forces in recent days.

Previously, the security forces killed two terrorirsts in Bougarra and dismantled a logistics’ support network in Blida while arresting more than 10 other terrorists in the area.

Information revealed that among the arrested terrorists, there was a terrorist who was entrusted with collecting ammunition and about 45 tons of food monthly as well as inciting young people to join the terrorist groups in order to make of Blida a rear-base to strike the strategic points in the main towns such as the capital Algiers.

This is also the third operation since last January in which the security forces killed 8 other terrorists from Sohan and Larbaa, east of Blida, bringing the total number of terrorits slain so far to 16.
