SMA Congress: Dialogue to prevent any tendency to violence among youth

ALGIERS – The participants at the 10th Congress of the Algerian Muslim Scouts (SMA) called Friday in Algiers, for setting up “areas of communication, dialogue and concerted action” t o prevent violent behavior among youth.

If the youth is not supported, it can be manipulated by people with ulterior purposes, many provinces’ delegates warned in their statements to Congress which opened Thursday.

The speakers who took turns at the podium were unanimous in stressing the importance of fighting idleness and emptiness, calling for the need to channel youth movements associations to give them the opportunity to “healthy” express themselves and thrive on all levels.

Nedjar Ali, representing Ghardaia Scouts Mouhafadha, referred to the role of prevention, saying the sports and cultural activities were able to play an important role in this area.
